Cozy Color Block Sweater

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

I'm not ashamed at how much I love sweaters! Cardigans, pull overs, dressy, casual... you name it- I'm all about them! I'm so much a sweater gal that when we went to Florida- I packed sweaters! (Air conditioning can be cold, ya know?)

With that being said, I am excited to cozy up in this sweater and make more! Sometimes I'm a crochet pile on the couch- crocheted sweater, crocheted afghan... it's good stuff.

I was scrolling through my Pinterest and found this color block sweater that I adored. I was looking for something that I could easily work on in front of the T.V. and this is it. If you're a beginner looking to try out making clothing, I would highly recommend this project.

You can find the pattern on Red Hearts Website- here!

While it is a Red Heart pattern, I used Caron Simply Soft as the yarn. I wanted something super soft and snuggly and a little heavier. I had made a blanket out of simply soft and while it took a while to make, it's a nice warm but soft blanket. If you're looking for something with some weight and that's nice and soft- use this yarn. You can find the supplies I used below:

Caron Simply Soft in Ocean- you can get it here.

Caron Simply Soft in Autumn Maize- you can get it here.

Caron Simply Soft in Plum Wine - you can get it here.

Finley loves when we do photo shoots (as long as he's not the one being dressed up!)

Happy Crocheting!

Dana

This sweater pattern from Red Heart calls for a #3 weight yarn but you used a #4 weight yarn. Can you explain what you did different, as in size of hook, number of stitches or did you follow the pattern exactly as is from Red Heart but with the bigger yarn? There are no clarifications on your blog. Thanks for your help.
